CIMC Huajun Rated as the First Green Factory in the Domestic Industry
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the third green demonstration manufacturers on November 6, 2018. Zhumadian CIMC Huajun Vehicle Co., Ltd. was rated as a national-level "green factory," making it the first green factory in the semi-trailer industry in China.
Guo Xizhou, secretary of the party committee and president of CIMC Huajun conglomerate, noted that environmental protection builds up the foundation of the enterprise and the responsibility of environmental protection determines the level of the enterprise. CIMC Huajun will adhere to the new development concept of "Innovation, Coordination, Green, Openness and Sharing" and continue to follow the HSE concept of "Safety, Health and Green Management" of CIMC. In accordance with the overall deployment of CIMC Vehicles, CIMC Huajun will intensify efforts to upgrade production lines and restructure organizations, take the lead in the development of the Special Purpose Vehicle industry, strive to be a pioneer in environmental governance, and become a "new highland" for green development.
It is understood that "green factory," featuring intensive land use, clean production, waste recycling, and low carbon energy, is the main body responsible for implementing green manufacturing and the core support unit of the green manufacturing system. In "Made in China 2025," the state gives priority to the construction of "green factories" and sets the goal of "building 1,000 green demonstration factories by 2020." As an essential part in building the green manufacturing system in China, the establishment of green factories is the key task of implementing green manufacturing. It plays a leading role in and is of great significance to the promotion of structural optimization, upgrading of poverty alleviation, and improvement of quality and efficiency in various industries.
