David Li Attends Graduation Ceremony of SJTU
On the morning of August 10, the 2018 Undergraduates Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony were held at the UM-SJTU Joint Institute. Li Guiping (David Li), member of the Executive Board of CIMC Group and CEO and President of CIMC Vehicles (Group), attended the ceremony as the representative of outstanding graduates from SJTU upon invitation and delivered an English keynote speech.
He shared with the graduates his education experience and the insights from his years of career life. In the speech, he took the history of CIMC Group as an example and elaborated the importance of creativity. He argued that creativity was the result of continuous, brainy and intensive thinking and practices. He expressed his hope that the students would learn how to deal with difficulties during creation, keep a positive attitude whatever the outcome is, and never stop creating. He said that, with a further acceleration of globalization, the students shall build up their leadership which can be used to address global issues and try to be the leaders in the future with global perspectives.
More than 200 graduates, part of the faculty, and a large number of parents have spent the exciting moment of graduation together on that day.
